koncupiscence | GIP and a thought...

Being relatively new to LJ, and so not knowledgeable in the ways of icon making, I am frequently on the hunt for new icons to snag - and credit of course (like this purty made by www.stellardream.net). And I must say I really don't understand why people make icons of a person and then put that person's name on it, ie, a beautiful pic of Elijah, and then the text just reads "Elijah", or a pic of Dom and it just says "Dom". I mean, yeah, duh, I know who that is, thanks. I've seen some beautiful icons, but then they gotta go and ruin them and put "Orlando" or "Viggo" on them. They don't need name tags anymore. I know who they are, you know who they are, and if anyone doesn't know, then... they don't need to know, damn it. I don't mean to sound bitchy, I just don't get it. Meh, whatev, different strokes, yadda yadda.

and god how I miss the fauxhawk, the troy curls don't really do it for me, mragh
