oh so random
+ i am supposed to be in san diego right now. instead, my body decide to barf itself silly this morning. that was fun. if by fun i mean completely wretched, which i do.
+ frank iero dream #3. very minor, but worth a mention since i seem to be keeping track of these things. so apparently, in my dream, frank and i work near each other. or at least we park near each other and then he walks off to his job and i to mine. we notice each other, but never speak. but on this one morning i pull into a parking space directly behind him. he's already out of his car with a few of his friends/co-workers. he looks over at me and smiles, all big and inviting. i get out of my car smiling (how could i not?) and say, "hey". he says hiya back and kind of awkwardly pauses for a bit. his friends are already walking off and they yell at him to COME ON. and he goes. the end. also, i didn't mention this earlier, but dream#2 frank looked like revenge era frank. but this one was semi-long hair recent frank. in a hoodie. fascinating stuff, i know.
+ most illuminating bit from the pwentz cosmo girl article: it's so gross, but i've been trying to perfect a heart-shaped hickey for, like, the last 15 years of my life, and i still can't do it. is it wrong that my first thought was oh, poor patrick?
also his favorite song on his ipod right now? "the luckiest" by ben folds. oh pete, stop. <3
+ i went to see the stage production of 'the color purple' last night. i really enjoyed it, but i gotta say it mostly just made me want to go watch the movie again. the songs were good, it was interesting to see how they adapted it, but for the most part i just wanted the movie (i know it was a book first, but i only read it once and it was so long ago, whereas the movie i've seen a gazillion times, so that's naturally what i compare it to). there was one great song toward the end between harpo and sophia. <3 and the woman who played celie did such a fabulous job, by the end i was totally cheering and crying at her transformation. but the final meet-up with nettie was far more dramatic in the film (i SOB every time). i was also curious about how they would handle the relationship between celie and shug. most of it played just how it had in the film, but then they actually went on to sing a love song to each other. of course shug then leaves celie and when she comes back she's married. but the two seemingly end up living together for a long period of time until shug leaves her once more for a tryst with a younger man. celie makes her love for and disappointment in shug quite apparent, something that she and mister eventually almost bond over. anyhow, i laughed, i cried, i applauded enthusiastically. but still, i really just want to watch the movie now. (i esp missed the two songs that shug sings in the movie - i had hoped they might appear in the play, being a musical and all, but alas they did not.) also i was really surprised by all the audible gasps coming from the audience at certain parts. really? you don't know the story? you didn't know that was coming? huh.
+ is today a day for picspam? i'm thinking it might be. or icon making. *faces*
+ today is definitely the day for more tea. ye gods.
+ lastly, i'm really quite ready for the new panic album. or how about just the video? srsly. now would be good.
