Hun, something people have been saying to me makes a lot of sense:

Yes, it sucks HUGELY. No doubt about that. But look at the way the country's going, especially after last night. This isn't a permanent thing. It may last a few years, it may last a few more than that. But it's temporary. It's insane, and insanity only lasts a short while. Too many people know how wrong forbidding rights is for this to go on. Too many people know that no matter who you love, you're a human being, and too many people are willing and able to fight for that to let this go on much longer. You can't stop the tide and the tide is against this. It's just a matter of time.

I really wish the time has been now. I know we thought that maybe the fight was over, at least in some ways. We were wrong, and I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer. In the meantime, there's a whole generation of kids out there to feed and educate and protect, and if we focus on making sure THEY know what's right, the world they grow up to inherit will be a lot better for all of us. We have a real chance now to make that world better, and that is so exciting.

No, it's fear, pure and simple. I dunno about you, but I'm not terribly scary unless you, I don't know, have a severe phobia of cereal?

it's about schools. teaching young children that marrying someone of the same gender is a valid and accepted option.

it's a bunch of malarkey.
