saw king kong last night with [livejournal.com profile] ruckiss and [livejournal.com profile] camillafarfalla.

AKSLJFA@BUGS!!1

overall, i enjoyed it. i laughed, i cried, it was three hours. yes, i think it could've maybe been a bit shorter. but it was good. though i don't think i'll ever really need to see it again, whatever that says.

I understand that sentiment. It was good to see once, but I don't think I could watch it again regardless of how good it was.

yeah... i can't even recall any specific moments that i'd like to re-watch. it was an adventure, it was beautiful, i was moved, now i'm gonna go watch lotr for gajillioneth time.

Exactly what you said, except for the crying bit. I was all emotionally torn up, but I never actually cried. Great film, my hat's off to PJ & WETA, never need to see it again.

yep. i didn't really expect to cry, but by the end... whoosh. but other than kong, i wasn't emotionally invested in any of those characters - polar opposite of lotr on that front. but i shouldn't go comparing the two - apples and oranges creme brule, you know. bravo pj, hooray for andy, but i'm moving on.
