so...
i was the first to arrive from our bunch and selected a prime piece of sidewalk behind some other adult fans (who had been there since 6 am WOT?).![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
camillafarfalla arrived shortly there after, followed by ruckiss, friend J, and addictedkitten.
we were positioned directly across from the vh1 and ny1 press. 'hi mom!' :p camilla and i were lucky recipients (along with several other fans) of the new rolling stone with orlando on the cover (looking mighty buff oohlala) and black baby tees that say mrs. bloom. \:D/
the first celebrity to arrive was liam neeson. i must say, he's rather dashing. however, having had some last minute camera snafus, i ended up only being able to use my disposable camera which ONLY HAD 11 PICTURES LEFT OMG NONE TO WASTE. so alas, no pictures of liam. i'd say we were about 3/4 of the way down the press line, so it took quite a while before he made it to us. but luckily, like i mentioned, vh1 and ny1 were both hot spots for people to stop and speak for a nice chunk of time.
right so, a visual. there was the sidewalk (us), a barrier, the red carpet (spanning about 10 feet across? i'm so bad with dimensions), and then another barricade with the press on the other side of it. so when the celebrities stopped to talk to press, they had their back to us for the most part, but would occasionally stand to the side (w00t profile!) or turn to smile and wave at the crazies (us).
okay, so liam's slowly making his way down the line and meanwhile the random B through D list celebrities and other guests (people who look like maybe we should know who they are but we don't) are walking by, straight down the red carpet for the most part, not really stopping. which was fine. sort of. i mean, there ended up not really being anyone of interest but i was so worried that i'd miss someone (ie norman), see the back of his/her head (ie camo cap) walking away and my moment of picture snapping over. alas, no norman. :( but! thanks toruckiss keeping a sharp eye, she hollered just in time that famke janssen (a favorite of mine) was approaching and i was able to snap a picture right as she passed in front of me. \o/ stunning.
the only other random person i was excited to see was rick porras! he walked by right at the beginning, i saw him and knew i knew him but couldn't place it. me: that's, that's, that's, who IS that? luckily, another fan nearby knew and i screamed with delight! i mean, RICK PORRAS. EE fangirl moment.
