Feb. 11th, 2011 10:21 ami decided to finally start the long put off project of tagging my old entries. turns out, tags really do help when you're trying to find something from years back. who knew!
and in doing so, i keep finding unfinished and abandoned entries. the Posts Not Posted in this LJ are sadly abundant, a habit i'm trying to break. so welcome to a new series of Posts of Previously Privated and Not Posted Posts. ...or something.
let's all jump into the way back machine and travel to july 19, 2008: my otps, let me show you them. (includes lotr and its offshoots and harry potter, among others)
i never finished that post like i had intended, with the new and shiny boys of my heart, but i'm pretty sure i made those feelings clear in the years since. oma nom nom.

ion, this weekend i plan to finalize the color scheme for my house (i'm having second thoughts about yellow :|), paint the closets (white), mow the lawn, and pull 468465313 weeds. good times! happy weekending, guys! <3

we interupt this program
Jul. 30th, 2010 03:04 pmi've been trying to type up a comic-con report, but i've only gotten so far as, "so, um... comic-con YAYE!" i did manage to upload my photos last night, though, so that's half the battle right there. but now i'm leaving tomorrow morning for a quick vegas/glambert trip and work has been batshit crazy this week, so much so that it's a wonder i'm here right now posting this. but there are things! things that need to be said.
first and foremost: ORLANDO GOT MARRIED, Y'ALL. i'm still a little stunned i had to find this out on my own scrolling through flist skip=250. i guess there are rumors that miranda is pregnant, but whatever, even if she is, they seem pretty darn happy together, so yay. yay love. ♥
i had the opportunity to go see scott pilgrim vs. the world last weekend, but passed on it twice because of other sdcc adventuring. i can't recall right now what i was doing friday instead of enjoying this film, but saturday i was sitting a line to nowhere. the plan was to see kevin smith, but unbeknownst to us, some dude inside was busy getting stabbed in the eye (the perils of saving a seat a comic-con), so no ksmith for us. and no scott pilgrim either. i made the sadface! woe was my life! :( oh, right, bummer for that dude who wound up in the emergency room, too.
anyhow, this review of the scott pilgrim film made me lolllll. talk about missing the DOINT. "What's disappointing is that this is all so juvenile. Nothing makes any real sense. The "duels" change their rules on a whim, and no one takes the games very seriously, including the exes, who, when defeated, explode into coins the winner may collect." srsly, are we being punked? o_O
and in other scott pilgrim news, i appreciated this fashion-forward piece from GQ featuring michael cera, jason schwartzman, and chris evans:

4. Find photos of the first 10 artists/bands that come up (no repeats and no cheating).
5. Have people guess who the artists/bands are.

warped 08, ventura
Jun. 25th, 2008 10:54 pmso i went to the warped tour on sunday in ventura. and hooboy am i glad i chose ventura over pomona. it was the hottest weekend of the year, so instead of experiencing 100+ temps, we got a break and enjoyed the blissfully mild mid-70s on the coast.

so that was it. that was warped. i'm off to vegas tomorrow night to finally see cobra and gym class, and then tai once more. YAYS.

May. 17th, 2008 02:07 pmsince bunnie recently joined team panic (yayyyyy), i offered to gather some links for her. i knew didn't have a lot, it's spotty at best (as i'm a bit more focused on mcr, if you couldn't tell), but i had more than i realized and this got a little long. thought i'd post it for everyone, just in case some of you are a wee bit interested or curious as well.
