movies, movies, movies...
Jun. 1st, 2004 12:27 amdouble feature tonight:
The Day After Tomorrow - AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! what a cheesefest! sure, the effects? great. and jake? hot. and bilbo? YAY! but the rest? ... ahahahahahahaha, fun times. bottom line: ( spoilers - but really, does it matter? )
Shrek 2 - AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! but this one is actually billed as a comedy. VERY funny stuff... intentionally. puss in boots, fabulous. and donkey, hi-larious.
last week i also saw Saved! which was very good. certainly not a movie for everyone, but if you don't take it too seriously, and enjoy it for what it is... well, um, you'll enjoy it. it definitely had some great moments and the acting was pretty stellar. mandy moore gave one of her best performances yet and it was wonderful to see macaulay again after all these years (i still have to rent Party Monster - even though it got crapass reviews, i'm very curious). the best actor award however goes to patrick fugit (from Almost Famous, er, fame). he's the most natural on screen out of the bunch, gave the most sincere performance - and he's so dang cute! =)
and this weekend i also had the pleasure of viewing Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. again with the funnyness! david spade fucking rocks. not only did he having me rolling, but the cameos alone make it well worth the rental. dude, both coreys together again!
