* stop making icons and wallpapers

also, while attempting to set up a gmail account, i discovered that i have IE 5, and apparently, for gmail one needs IE 5.5 or 6. i will probably give downloading IE 6 a go, but before i do, is there anything i should know about it? problems, issues, hiccups? i'm always nervous about updating things on my computer - that whole "if it ain't broke don't fix it" thang.

i have been not so patiently waiting all afternoon for one very important phone call, however it has been unusually and disconcertingly quiet today. so when the phone finally did ring at 4:00, you can imagine my disappointment to discover that it was indeed not the call that i was expecting and frantically waiting for, but in fact, missouri. please do not call here again.
