i'm feeling a little woozy here

am home sick today. which would be great if i wasn't actually sick. unfortunately, my nose is stuffed, my head feels thick and cloudy, and i'm achy all over. i was hoping to be somewhat productive today despite my weakened condition, possibly tackling some laundry or some long overdue grocery shopping. but... i don't know if either of those is realistic as merely moving from the couch to my desk is rather exhausting.

i think i had something else to post about, but nothings coming to me. i'd love nothing more than to curl up with some cast commentary but our dvd player is on the fritz. :(

a little less woozy.

you know what sucks? sitting down to read your otp, because you're feeling nostalgic and want to curl up with an old friend, reading the first two of six chapters, thinking that it might actually being going somewhere, and then having it all turn to shit in the third chapter. grown men acting like 14 year old girls. *eyeroll* sometimes you can move past it, just skim and get to the next bit, but this one was like hitting a brick wall. *sigh* i really should just stick to authors that i know (said badfic was not written by anyone on my flist, so not to worry lovely writers!).

but you know what doesn't suck? having your roommate spend a week at disneyworld and then bring back bags of goodies! our refrigerator is now guarded by five members of the fellowship (frodo, gimli, gandy, aragorn, and legolas). magnet!leggy and magnet!aragorn are of course standing side by side. i tried to squish them closer together but leggy's bow kept getting in the way. *fist*

you know what also doesn't suck? i am now in possession of the lord of the rings monopoly game! :D i managed to make it out of the house today for a few hours, stopped in b&n to do some christmas shopping (BIG mistake), and what do i see? LOTR MONOPOLY OMG MINE MY OWN. (they also had lotr trivial pursuit. which i still want. but it'll have to wait.) the six characters you can choose from are gandalf, frodo, gimli, galadriel, aragorn, and legolas. i know, only one hobbit, no fair. :( but galadriel, yay! i am so her when we play. and instead of house and apartments, they have 'strongholds' and 'fortresses' which basically look like little minas tiriths and the walls at helm's deep. i am so excited i cannot wait to play! i think i shall bring this home for christmas next week and rope some people into playing with me.
