Jul. 3rd, 2008 10:56 ami cannot wait for someone to screencap the shit out of the the black parade is dead. i think it will be equal parts HI-LARIOUS (mexico) and bit-throbbing (hoboken). i had forgotten how utterly beautiful gerard was at the nj show. all of them, really. and what a hot mess it turned into, ye gods. :D
i def enjoyed the hoboken show more - the intimacy, the variety of songs, the whispering in each other's ears. and i was afraid the black parade show, while interesting and concepty, would hit a few squicks for me. i usually adore gerard acting like a complete idiot, but sometimes when he's in costume with the white face, kind of looking like shit and making ridonkulous expressions, i get this embarrassed feeling and need to turn away. it's like when i watch celebrities i admire making an ass out of themselves on talk shows. my stomach flips all around and i usually cannot grab the remote fast enough.
that said, there wasn't actually as much uncomfortable ick-ness as i had initially expected. both shows were pretty darn amazing, and i don't know if it was the big screen tv or the band's big screen presence, but i found my hands flying up in applause after several of the songs as if i was actually there. :D i may or may not have fist-pumped a little as well. \o>

i'm off to the mountains with the family tonight for the long weekend. no internet for THREE WHOLE DAYS. i get the shakes just thinking about it. ;)
happy 4th! see you next week. <3
