holy crap, it's december

i keep thinking i should write a recap of my weekend, but... i don't really want to. :p how about a quick sum up instead. thurs = STUFFFFFFFFFED. i made au gratin brussel sprouts! but before that, the day started with a morning hike (4 miles). friday i enjoyed the QUIET and did... nothing, i think. it was quite grand. OH WAIT, actually i started knitting again! that felt fabulous, to pick up the needles again and ~create. just a scarf, but i needed something brainless to get my fingers up to speed again. this year: a SWEATER and SOCKS, damn it. I WILL CONQUER THEM.

saturday i actually hung out with my good friend B, who i hadn't talked to in aaaaaages. (sometimes i get stuck in this loop of not calling people, and then feeling AWFUL about it, so i put off calling, and then i feel WORSE, and so i still don't call bc i SUUUUCK, etc etc.) i missed her so much, though, and it was fantastic to finally catch up and hang out. and her kids are fucking adorable. <3 random fun fact: her husband was actually out of town because had to fly to montreal suddenly to build a set for lady gaga's performance! what?! :D

and then sunday was a 6 mile hike/run in the santa monica mountains. it was beyooooootiful, but omg i am SORE. i could barely walk yesterday, and today i am still hobbling like a hobbling thing. wahhhh.

of the good, not only did i receive a lovely package from mah biz (<3!), but my mcr hoodie came in the mail yesterday! happy continued bday to meeeeee. I LOVE IT. it's big and cozy and it doesn't say my chemical romance on it ANYWHERE!!! (i'm old, okay. their logo is a little embarrassing to wear outside the house. :\) i was kind of worried, bc they don't show the back side on their site, but hoorah! nothin' but little stars all over. WIN. \o/ now i just need to do laundry asap, bc it has that new, oogy, chemical smell.

oh, well look at that. i guess i recapped my weekend afterall.
