sorreh! if i'd known you were gonna watch it, i coulda helped you out. it helps, too, that i've read a few of the books - the terminology is more natural to me now. but yeah. they *do* explain, but it's hard to catch, i know. very quick-paced. i like how they talk funny! <3 period speech, <3 english speech, <3 billy speech!
it must be just that i was raised on the bbc and british sitcoms and movies and talking books - i get everything everyone says, irish, british, scottish, whatever. unless there's slang i don't know, and sometimes even then, i'm right there with them. we were watching bbc world news last night and it hit me when they had an amaerican analyst on that i hadn't noticed AT ALL that the anchorwoman had this amazingly strong upper-class british accent. it was just so natural for me to hear those tones and pronunciations. *shrug*
