this is rachel perry. one time host of vh1's top 20 countdown (and other assorted vh1/mtv/we love the whatever shows). she's kind of funny, and i always enjoyed her as the top 20 host, and then one day i saw her in a bikini. HELLO. nnnngh tattoos. she has more on her back, but tattoos on the nibble-me-middles get me hot. way hot. and so yes, icon.


keywords: radha green (another zinger!)

this is radha mitchell, actress. i first kind of fell for her when i saw the movie love and other catastrophes and then fell even harder with high art. most people might remember her as johnny depp's wife in finding neverland? she's done some great movies and some awful ones. i don't know. i really like her. i like this icon for her body language. the way her arms are crossed she seems kind of awkward and uncomfortable. maybe unsure. maybe sometimes i feel like that. (eta: also the way her right wrist is facing outward, exposed, it feels vulnerable to me.)

this is zooey deschanel. she's adorable. more importantly though, i love her orange sweater (i have a thing for orange). and the glow of the sunlight. and her pretty hair. it's a good autumn/cozy/where's my hot cuppa icon.

this is me! i'm in nyc (with a secret carohart standing next to me) and the traffic lights did this weird wooOOooo thing in the background. i have my requisite messenger bag thrown over my shoulder and i'm wearing my favorite green plaid winter jacket, my pink scarf that i made, and my orange hoodie (rip *frodo tear*). i have this icon to remind me of where and how i used to be and all the good times. ♥

i am always secret. it it the only way to be safe, you know. i don't know how many times my dad shoved me into an envelope and told me mother to keep me secret, keep me safe. it was really very trying at the time, but now i understand. and i avoid volcanoes assiduously.

obvs this last trip was a wee bit stressfuls, but have you given any more thought to when/if you are likely to be OVERSEAS? my plans have changed, and i am to be travelling most of september and home by early october, so that might throw my end of things into doubt.
