koncupiscenceweekend sum up:
friday: work, tv, sleeps
saturday: amaaaaaazing brunch w/the girls and then outfest! a q&a with jane lynch (as charming and hilarious as you would imagine) and then the movie 'leading ladies' which co-starred one benji schwimmer of sytycd fame. :D it's essentially about two sisters and their wacky family. one sister is an aspiring ballroom dancer (and benji is her dance partner - also, gay) and the other sister is a soon-to-come-out lesbian who prefers to lead. like most small, low-budget films, it had its good parts (every scene w/benji) and its not so great parts. but this film also had one FANTASTIC part. a boy/boy dance between benji and his boyfriend? friend? boytoy? i don't recall what their official status was in the film, but does it really matter? i think not. the dance was stunning. beautiful, graceful, slinky and hot. and performed with such ease and intimacy. it was a wonder to behold. more of that please. sunday: brunch again! twice in one weekend, huzzahhhh. ran a few errands, one of which was picking up my mail at the new house. MY FIRST MAIL AT MY NEW ADDRESS. ♥__♥ naturally, they're bills.
now i'm watching hp: order of the phoenix. mmmm, occlumency scenes. i've also started re-reading deathly hallows, because aside from the death count, i don't actually remember all that much about it. :\

whelp - this is the fourth oldest icon i have still in rotation. from one of my favorite photos of mister bloom. he was my first fandom boyfriend and will always, always have a place in my heart. i mean, look at that earnest little puppyface! ♥ (also, he's wearing an orange shirt, and i have a fondness for orange.)
she kissed my man - bitch did (in elizabethtown). those be kirsten dunst's legs, but that's actually irrelevant, which is why her name isn't up there in the keywords. but she did look pretty cute in this photo and i felt it was a good fit for an icon to just represent me - outside of fandom. anyone who's seen me in RL knows i wear jeans a lot. and converse. (and before i moved back to CA, i loved my scarves) so... yeah.
orlish hands of love - i did this one not too long ago in another icon meme, but for anyone who missed it, basically netflix did some... ~thing where celebrities drew pictures and they put them on their envelopes? and orlando did one of two pairs of hands holding hearts - and this is one of them. i find it really sweet. here, have my heart. it's yours. ♥ [aha! ask and your google-fu shall provide. the particulars from netflix for any interested parties.]
frankie nekkid - who doesn't want more nekkid, tattooed frank in their life? (shoosh, tarte.) and you can practically hear his stupid giggle in this pic. gigantor hearts for this boy, i has them.
doofs: the frankie special - so it went like this. biz and i walk over to the skeleton crew booth at bamboozle left and find a crowd around it, because holy shit omg frank fucking iero is right in front of us ajdsfl;kaj. I WAS NOT REALLY EXPECTING THAT. what else i wasn't expecting? to get a fucking picture with him. i was happy just standing off to the side gazing at him like a loon, but all these other fans were handing him their cameras and getting photos with him and before i knew it i was in some sort of line, and then i was at the front. i smiled at him and pushed my ticket stubb in front of him to sign. he looked at me like he was expecting me to say something, but I HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO SAY, so i just stood there all :DDDDDDDD. when he finished signing, i quickly asked for a photo and he hesitated, but then agreed (he was trying to get out of there; we were the last photo). i handed over my camera to let him snap it (ajsdfljs;d), biz leaned in, and voila! i had both a loltastic photo (he cropped himself out of the frame almost entirely) and my very first encounter with mister frank iero. i was a bit of a failbot (as i've been every time in front of him), but it remains one of my favorite fandom moments. ps, HE'S PRETTY. *__*
take my hand - one day i will find that special someone to take my hand. ...or not. but maybe i will? as someone wise once said, there is always hope. :)
