koncupiscencecraziest of crazy busy days yesterday. O_x srsly, are you all okay out there? bc it seems like everyone and their mom got into car accidents over the weekend. and while it's GRAND to be busy, it was not exactly the ~ease back into this RL thing~ i desired after the long weekend. and today looks to be no different. i shouldn't even be here now.
BUT SINCE I AM, let me talk about my house (again). it's kind of strange. i've hardly been there since moving in except to sleep. last week was oddly busy for me and i was out most nights until quite late, and then i was up north near san francisco for four days over the weekend. needless to say, everything is still in boxes, and most of my clothes are in various bags around my room. and while i know this is my house, my home now, for all of last year i would only visit it in order to complete some task: paint the office, landscape the backyard, stain the fence, etc etc etc. it feels like more of the same, only now my task is: sleep there overnight. and so i do.
i know its hominess will come in time, once things are put in their place (once i find places for things), once i get a tv (sad that this will make a difference), once artwork gets on the walls, once i've lived there. i think i need a full weekend where i can tinker and putter and WEED ALL OF THE WEEDS and just be there. i look forward to it.
and i've already been back to my parents' house twice for dinner, but in my defense it was largely so that i could also watch so you think you can dance (and hopefully they'll let me back tonight as well). and hooboy, i can't even begin to tell you what a difference being there BY CHOICE makes. let me help with dinner! of course i'll do the dishes! this is the best meal ever!
lastly, 9 days until harry potter and hold onto your hats, part 2. ;_; i expect to cry many of the tears, if not all of them. i pass the ron weasley IT ALL ENDS poster every day on my way to work and oh. oh. ;_; my heart.
