i am in such a FUNK lately. my house is a disaster, it's been so long since i've done laundry that i'm almost out of underwear (even the grungy period ones), and i've been eating my weight in cheese for the last few weeks. pretty much all i want to do everyday is watch thor and masturbate. is that so wrong? :(

the mail is starting to pile up, though, and that's my neon blinking WARNING sign that i need to get my shit together. so yesterday i ran the dishwasher, today (with the help of my brother) i forced myself to go to the gym (30 minutes on the treadmill), and tomorrow i will find and pay my water bill. it's around here somewhere.

in better news, i finally started watching mad men. better late than never? i finished the first season and am midway through the second. here are some of my thoughts thus far:

CONNOR IS MARRIED TO ANNIE?!?!?! lol smoking and drinking while pregnant. lol no seatbelts. lol running around with a plastic bag over your head. lol drinking and driving. hey don's main mistress is kind of hot. oh man, i can't tell you how many times i thought i ate a bad sandwich but it ended up being a baby.

but in all seriousness, even though not a lot happens on this show (so far), i'm really enjoying it. peggy is my favorite. if she's on the screen i'm pretty darn happy. also joan. *_* JOAN. *_* i spent all of season one wanting to shove connor/pete out a window. i honestly didn't know how i was supposed to make it through four seasons of his stupid face. thankfully somehow he's become a bit more tolerable lately. idk if it will last, but i'd really prefer he didn't entirely fuck up my enjoyment of this show.

and now dinner! and glee! and later parenthood! <-- such a great show, you guys. the entire cast is pretty fantastic. and dax shepard can really act! who knew? he's come a long way since punked.

Season 1 is super slow, but it picks up in Season 2, and Season 3 is the best imo. whee!

(And Pete does get better. Though still creepy.)

just finished season 2! pete is definitely more tolerable, though still an ass. but more importantly, i've fallen hard for peggy. it's a joy to watch her move up and navigate her way in this man's world. and i want equally great things for joan! i felt so bad when her script-reading job was taken away, because from the prior scene i was falsely under the impression that the job would be hers (and was mentally preemptively high-fiving her), so her disappointment was also my disappointment. :(

BUT YAY. SHOW. :D
