i find BHD very hard to watch because of the death and dying and all. and i thought it was very hard to drool - no matter how hot was eric - once the fighting starts.
i highly recommend the book - it gives you a little behind the scenes background to the war and it tells you about who these boys are. read it with a big box of tissues, though, it's very sad, well, as you know, because they were killed and injured and things.
yes, i am very interested in reading the book now. tissues will no doubt be in order. at the end of the movie, i sat there weeping, squinting and trying to read the final titles regarding the outcome through my tears. i finally decided to just pause the movie, have my moment, and then read the fine print after.
and most definitely, my drooling ended after the first 20 minutes or so (actually, i know the exact moment. once blackburn fell, the squeefest was over - oh, but how i adored baby!orli <3). once the fighting began, i just sat there, biting my lower lip, hand on my head, uttering expletives left and right, feeling anxious and a bit nauseous until it was over.
war movies are always hard for me to watch. but it was a very well made film, and not too gory, considering.
omg, it's like two different people! i adore the wee!orli, fellowship!orli, but i'm also really enjoying watching him grow and mature (both as an actor and a person - well, what we see of that anyhow). and i really admire the way he's dealing with all the media attention, so far, by, for the most part, trying to stay out of it.
*sigh* the boy makes me smile. i mean, look at him! <3
