i've been trying to type out my thoughts on this whole dumbledore thing, and it's just left me with extreme feelings of meh. so instead i come here with a brighter topic: nanowrimo.

i was excited to attempt it for the first time last year, but unfortunately it didn't happen. i had literally just moved back to california, immediately started a new job, and the emotional upheaval of it all left me with little energy for such a taxing endeavor. this year will prove to be a bit difficult as well, as K2 will be visiting for a full week next month (NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING), and i'll be out of town for the kickoff weekend and thus not able to start writing until late in the day on the 4th. that being the case, i don't think i'll meet the word count by month end, but i'm going to give it a go anyway, dammit.

i've been kicking around thoughts and ideas for this woodcest+dom (is there a name for that?) story for several years now. i've got certain plot points and scenes planned out, but i have yet to really see it put together as a whole, specifically as a whole with a point. but i hope as i continue to tinker and plan, and the writing starts to happen, it will take some sort of shape. and if not? WHO CARES! \o/

i expect it to be crap, i expect not to win, and i can't wait for it to start! :D
