THE OC STARTS TONIGHT?! is that really true? how did i not know this before now? ...

odd moment of the day: kathy lee gifford had lunch at the same deli that i went to today. o_O i must say, she looks far better in person, not nearly as scary as she does on tv.

so i just related one of my truly embarrassing moments to calvin_would in comments and for some reason have the impulse to post it here as well for your amusement.

calvin had stated in her '20 facts about me' meme that she's not sure she'd ever want to meet a celebrity that she really admires for fear of making a fool out of herself. to which i commented:

he was hardly a celebrity and i don't know that i 'admired' him as much as i just thought he was a hottie, but this certainly falls in the making a complete fool out of myself category:

there was once this short-lived tv series called 'alien nation', a spin-off, if you will, from the movie by the same name. the main alien family on the show had a teenage son, buck francisco, played by an actor named sean six. the aliens had no hair, big bald heads with spots instead. still with me?

so one day there was this convention? and i went? and he was signing autographs? so i walked up to have him sign a picture of himself? and here was my big moment in front of him omg my heart raced and raced and i thought i would pass out.

sean: hi.
me: hi.
sean: *signs picture*
me: i always wondered what you looked like with hair.
sean: ...
me: *crimson* *moves along*


I ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT YOU LOOKED LIKE WITH HAIR?!

and thus ends my 'i carried a watermelon' moment. *eternal facepalm omg*

Well, if it makes you feel less embarrassed, I once made an ass out of myself flirting outrageously with Christian Coulson (Tom Riddle in Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets). I was not quite so young (i.e. 2003).
